Normandy France 24 May 2008
Without question the highlight of the entire trip to France. I will make my way to Normandy again, soon I hope.

Paris, France 22 May 2008-31 May 2008
I decided to try something different with these photos. Instead of just a slideshow this is more of a photo journal of sorts.

Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center 3 April 2008
A full morning of work gave way to a free afternoon and quick trip to the National Air and Space Museum's Hazy Center, located at Washington Dulles Airport. All I had my was trusty Canon Powershot on this trip but I managed to capture a couple images. Most of the shots are very slow shutter speeds (about 1/8 second) and by hand. Obviously a DSLR and tripod or beanbag would have work well but I had to make due with what I had - a great opportunity to visit this museum.

The Gathering of Mustangs and Legends 28-29 September 2007
I attended the airshow on two days of its four day run. The majority of the 150 or so P-51 Mustangs that are flyable made their way to the old Rickenbacker Airbase in Columbus, Ohio. Also in attendance were the pilots who flew them in WWII and beyond. I was using my Canon 400D and a Canon 100-400mm IS zoom for most of the show.

Indianapolis Air Show 25 August 2007
They put on a good show in Mt Comfort, Indiana every year and last year was no exception. A Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft was in attendance, the first I've seen at a show. The Blue Angels also make an appearance but they base out of Indianapolis International some miles away. This is a disappointment because the show really starts when they fire up and all their canopies close simultaneously, and doesn't end until they march away from the aircraft in formation.

EAA Airventure Oshkosh - a collection 2003-2007
This is a collection of photos from the past few years of the big show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin - a very small collection. These photos were shot by myself and my brother with everything from the oldest Canon point and shoot (long since recycled) through the 30D and 300D. Whatever we could get our hands on through the years really. I don't even want to think about all the images captured on film and all the work I will need to do with those!
